Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about fit, fabric, customization, and care — answered.

The Number & Customization
Will the number peel, flake, or wash off?

No. Your number is stitched (embroidered) into the sleeve, not ironed or printed on. Iron-on and printed numbers are what crack, peel, and fall off after a few washes — embroidery is sewn into the fabric, so it holds up all season and beyond. Customers routinely tell us their sleeves "held up great all season" and come back to reorder year after year.

Can I put any number on it?

Yes — that's the whole idea. Pick your number or initials, single or double digits, with your fill and outline color of choice. We also offer flags and emojis, so our customization options are second to none.

Fit & Sizing
How is it supposed to fit?

It's designed to be snug — that's how a compression sleeve is supposed to feel. It increases blood flow and oxygen, decreases muscle vibration, and for many customers it reduces pain and aids recovery. That tightness is also why you never have to worry about it sliding down your arm during play. Some customers are initially surprised by the tightness, but once they try it for a practice, they fall in love with the feel.

What sizes do you offer?

Youth, SM–MD, and L–XL. (See the size chart on the product page for measurements.)

Which size should I order for my kid?

See the size chart on the product page and order with confidence thanks to our 30-Day Exchange. Tips: compression sleeves are designed to fit tightly, so if you're unsure, select the larger size — especially for young athletes who might not be as familiar with compression.

Does it fit thin or smaller arms?

Yes — this is one of the things customers single out. Smaller and younger athletes get real, even compression instead of a baggy sleeve with a saggy cuff or an oversized wrist. It's built to fit arms that other sleeves swim on, but it's also loved by much thicker players (Pablo Sandoval is a top customer) due to the material's outstanding flexibility and comfort.

Compression & Feel
What does the compression actually feel like?

Firm, even, and comfortable — customers describe it as "just the right amount." It hugs the arm without cutting off movement, and it doesn't loosen up and start sliding mid-game the way looser sleeves do.

Is it comfortable enough to wear the whole game?

That's the most common thing people say about it — "comfiest sleeve I've ever played in." It's made to be worn for full games and practices, not just for show.

Warmth, Heat & Breathability
Will it keep my arm warm in cold weather?

Yes. Pitchers, football players, and other cold-weather athletes use it to keep their arms warm and loose in chilly weather — one customer described keeping his son's arm warm through a 30°F Opening Day. It also adds a layer of protection against hard contact with other athletes or the ground, which can be especially painful on a cold day.

Won't it be too hot in the summer?

The microfiber sleeve is built to breathe, and the dozens of MLB players who wear it religiously in July/August is proof. Customers in hot, humid climates (Florida summers included) report it has a cooling quality as sweat evaporates away from the arm, and it stays drier, and less sticky than cheaper polyester sleeves. You'll want to wear it in both cold and hot conditions.

Does it protect against turf burn?

Yes — plenty of players wear it for exactly that. The sleeve puts a layer of breathable fabric between the arm and the turf, dirt, or another player, so a hard slide or dive doesn't leave a raw scrape behind. Here's how one customer put it:

"It's tight fitting for youth, which is perfect — my buddy plays on turf and it helps protect from turf burns! Not to mention the 💧💧 it sets off." — Verified buyer

Arm Health & Who It's For
Is a compression sleeve actually good for the arm, or is it just for looks?

Both, and that's why I made it. It looks "PRO" with the embroidered number, but more importantly, athletes wear sleeves for real functional reasons — warmth, support, keeping the arm loose, reducing pain, and aiding in recovery. The majority of players across baseball, softball, football, basketball, lacrosse, and volleyball wear sleeves for more than style, and no matter what sport you're watching, there's probably some sleeves out there — "the proof is in the pudding."

Can it help with soreness, circulation, or recovery?

Pain relief is the #1 reason that our sleeve exists. My arm hurt, and I wanted a better sleeve to manage that pain. Our sleeve is a compression garment, not a medical device — but here's what customers tell us: people buy it specifically for arm warmth and support during recovery, use it while coming back from elbow flare-ups, and wear it religiously for everyday arm care and comfort. One army veteran customer even preferred it to a compression sleeve issued by the VA. If you have a specific medical condition or injury, check with your doctor about whether compression is right for you, but our customer feedback regarding pain/recovery is exceptional and the #1 reason why we use our Turkish microfiber blend in the first place.

What do customers say about pain, soreness, and arm comfort?

Here, in their own words, is what customers and athletes have told us:

  • "There's a reason why the majority of baseball players (not to mention other sports) wear arm sleeves. It's not for the look. Plenty of benefits to an arm sleeve, including and especially pain relief."
  • "My son recovered from an elbow fracture and this compression sleeve is the most comfortable! He's back on the mound pitching!"
  • "After a recent elbow flare-up we were looking for a solid compression sleeve he could wear while pitching, and this is helping a lot."
  • "Love using this in the summer — great for muscle performance and recovery!"
  • "Ordered a sleeve for my Mom with her initials for arm care and therapy and she loves it! She's an Army veteran and likes this one much more than the one the VA sent her."
  • "As a nursing student/athlete, this is the way blood flow in your throwing arm should feel."
Who wears these?

Youth and adult athletes across baseball, softball, football, basketball, volleyball, golf, lacrosse… plus pros: Kiké Hernández, John Franklin-Myers, Oneil Cruz, Alex Bregman, José Ramírez, José Altuve, Teoscar Hernández, Andy Pages, JP Crawford. The pro list goes on and on. And we don't pay any of them.

Is there any logo or branding on the sleeve?

No. The only mark is your number, initials, flag or emoji — no company logo, no brand stamp… we're the only brand where it's truly about you, not us.

Care & Durability
How do I wash it?

It's machine washable and, because it's embroidered and not printed, very easy to care for. For best results, wash it inside out in water no warmer than 104°F (no higher than the warm setting). The embroidered number will never peel or flake in the wash. Customers consistently report it "washes great" and holds its shape and color.

From Mike: I've thrown my sleeves in with the rest of my clothes for years and seen no change in the material.

Can I put it in the dryer?

Yes — unlike some competitors that require air-drying only, our sleeve is dryer-safe. We recommend keeping the dryer no higher than a medium setting.

How long does it last?

It's built to last "several seasons," according to a recent review, and we back it with our 365 Day Free Replacement. The stitched number and Turkish microfiber mean it doesn't degrade like printed, iron-on, or nylon sleeves, which is why so many customers reorder each year — usually because they or their kid changed numbers, not because the sleeve wore out.

Ordering
Which arm is this for?

The sleeve or wristband will look and feel exactly the same on either arm. Some players wear it on their dominant arm, and others on their non-dominant arm. It's the player's choice.

Is it one sleeve (or wristband) or a pair?

You can choose either a single (one unit) or a pair (two units) when adding to cart. Buying multiple units unlocks our industry-leading bulk discounts, and the great news is that you can mix and match any color, design, and product type and still get the discount!

Do you do team orders or bulk orders?

Yes — and we offer incredible discounts. You can use our fast and easy team order engine or order directly through the product page. Either way, you'll get the best discount available. See our promotions for current offers.

Do you have something for coaches?

Yes — we make a "COACH" sleeve in team colors so the coaching staff matches the squad. It's currently available as an add-on, only for team orders.

What's the sleeve made of?

Premium Turkish microfiber made by masters of high-performance fabrics — the same kind that our pros wear. It's soft and sock-like, not shiny, silky, or rubbery: customers describe it as "so comfortable and breezy" and "more comfortable than the EvoShield ones they used to wear." It's a true compression fabric that still breathes — it keeps the arm warm and loose in the cold, and stays cool and dry through hot, humid summers instead of getting heavy and sweaty like cheaper polyester sleeves.

Do you make anything besides arm sleeves?

Yes — we also offer custom wristbands, beanies, and varsity jackets. Same custom, embroidered approach across the board.

Why does it cost more than a sleeve I can find on Amazon?

You're not buying a blank or cheap print-on sleeve — you're buying your number stitched permanently into premium compression fabric, worn by pros and made to order here in the Midwest USA. Other sleeves use heat-pressed numbers that crack and peel after a few washes or they aren't custom at all; ours is embroidered, with your personalization sewn into the fabric, so it holds up season after season. You're paying for a custom piece that lasts — not a generic one that doesn't.
